It is $60 for a ninety-minute session, integrating techniques from Swedish Massage, Advanced Swedish Techniques, Acupressure and either Neuromuscular Therapy or Craniosacral Therapy in a personalized treatment plan created to meet client needs. Student interns are in their last quarter of training, gaining professional experience before they leave school.
Apppointment times vary each quarter to accommodate the schedules of our interns, and the availability of sessions is limited. The ninety-minute sessions are the only length session we offer. If you reach the voicemail, please leave a message with your name, and a day and evening contact number, and the next intern working will call you back to schedule an appointment.
Iona Marsaa Teeguarden returns to Cumberland
Iona Teeguarden is scheduled to return to Cumberland to share her powerful techniques of Jin Shin Do® Acupressure and Bodymind Trancework in 2008. Her Bodymind Trancework course will be offered March 24, 25 & 26, 2008. The prerequisite for the Bodymind Trancework class is Jin Shin Do® Basic – Level 1, a 45-hour, three-weekend class taught by Steve Sommers, LMT which is next scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays over Summer Quarter on July 28, 29, August 18, 19 and September 8, 9, 2008, which is unfortunately, not in time to be used as the prerequisite for the Bodymind Trancework class.
In the Bodymind Trancework class, Iona Teeguarden demonstrates ways to keep clients body-focused during sessions as they uncover the underlying mental and emotional triggers for their chronic muscular tension, so they may respond with increased receptivity to minimal cues. The class is a unique opportunity to observe, and in some cases receive, Ms. Teeguarden's masterful work as she guides her demonstration clients into a deeply-relaxed state, where the unconscious thoughts, beliefs and emotions which were associated with their muscular and energetic tension could emerge for release.
For those students who have already completed Bodymind Trancework, Ms. Teeguarden will also be teaching a class in Bodymind Trancework for Trauma on March 28, 29, and 30, 2008. Please consult the website or schedules closer to the classes for more details about the classes offered at Cumberland Institute. For more information about Iona Teeguarden or Jin Shin Do®, please consult the foundation website at www.jinshindo.org.
